Following on from last year\u2019s successful Welcome Events, Tiree Trust and The Ranger service will once again be running weekly \u2018welcome to Tiree\u2019 events for Summer 2018.<\/p>\n
We received a variety of good feedback from those in attendance at last year\u2019s event and have therefore stuck to the original agenda with some slight tweaks. The evening will be chaired by a local Tirisdeach, who will give all in attendance a warm west coast welcome and introduce the audience to Tiree.<\/p>\n
We are going to follow the theme \u201820 Things You Didn\u2019t Know about Tiree\u2019, which will be brought to life through presentations from Dr John Holliday and Dr John Bowler and others who might contribute throughout the night.<\/p>\n
The \u2018welcome events\u2019 will run for 6 weeks through the peak season, offering a taste of Tiree with a spread of delicious homebaking and a cuppa. This will be accompanied by a few tunes or songs from local musicians and performers, which went down very well last year. The first event will take place on the 9th<\/sup> of July and continue each Monday for 6 weeks.
